moth studios started in may 2009 with the specific purpose of providing affordable equipped photographic and blue screen space to student, pro/am and professional photographers in sydney.

when we say affordable, we mean as affordable as possible. the pricing structure at moth studios does not provide an income for anyone, rather it is priced as low as possible while still covering the operating costs. we will continue to strive for this goal.

training?

while we are able to provide training sessions in camera and studio lighting, this is not the core reason for starting the studios. there are a lot of institutions and companies already providing photographic training in sydney, a couple we have used and would recommend are the Australian Centre for Photography (ACP) and the Sydney Institute of TAFE (SIT).

where we see moth studios’ strength is providing an equipped facility to allow photographers to shoot assignment work, develop their portfolios and shoot small to medium projects.
